Friedrich holds a university degree (MA) in History and German Studies from the University of Salzburg, Austria. From 1998-2000 he worked as a TV journalist in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. In 2001 he founded blue+green communication. Friedrich has been writing, directing, shooting and producing documentaries since 1999, with an output of over 20 films. Friedrich’s professional career also includes lecturing on history and documentaries at the University of Vienna. blue+green communication is a film production company based in Vienna, Austria, working with partners in London, New York and Los Angeles. Maarten Schmidt

Maarten Schmidt founded Brussels based film production company Storyhouse in 2013, after working in The Netherlands. He worked in the creative and production department of 30 films, most of which documentaries with one Cannes-selected feature fiction: ‘Blue Bird’. All of which have been broadcast, some with an international theatrical release and some films awarded at major film festivals. Maarten has worked with all major European broadcasters. Storyhouse engages in high-profile international co-productions and co-develops, co-finances, supports sales and distribution.
